Michael Drake, DMD 2014, ASDA President
Michael will continue to build on the success we have had in the past and continue to grow our chapter to benefit students as much as possible. He enjoys Lakers basketball, hanging out with his dogs Kobe and Peanut, doing yoga and playing golf.
Russel Dasalla, DMD 2015, Vice President
Russel will help in making the Golf Tournament
and Vendor Fair successful events, promote ASDA, and assist the various ASDA
leaders. He enjoys cooking, eating, and
napping.
Samantha Dubin, DMD 2015, Secretary
Samantha plans on being at each meeting to document all of the progress ASDA is making! On her free time, she enjoys playing with her dog, Doc and long walks on the beach.
Karen Mei, DMD 2014, Treasurer
Karen plan to continue managing the funds, making the budget more accessible for others leaders and helping ASDA at WesternU continue to grow. She enjoys eating, rock climbing, traveling, catching up on shows, going out with friends and just having a good time.
Scott Peterson, DMD 2014, Membership Coordinator
Scott intends to make sure every member knows their member benefits and also put on a successful kickball tournament in the spring. He loves all sports - especially basketball, tennis, watersports and ultimate frisbee. He also loves ballroom dancing.
Allison Baylis, DMD 2014, Health Fair Co-Coordinator
Allison will plan service activities that engage CDM students and make a positive impact on the community around our school, and hopes that everyone will make some time to volunteer this year.
She is a New England native who loves hockey, spending time at the shore, and anything and everything preppy.
Shannen Boeckmann, DMD 2016, Health Fair Co-Coordinator
Shannen intends to maintain consistent interaction with surrounding communities to provide access to men, women and children in need of dental care, while providing unique experiences to students. She enjoys cooking, baking, working out, yoga and shopping.
James Stirland 2014, Lunch and Learn Co-Coordinator
James will help colleagues continue to learn outside of normal classes. He enjoys spending his time with family, playing soccer, reading, and being a geek.
Daniel Margolis, DMD 2016, Lunch and Learn Co-Coordinator
Daniel plans is to schedule some rad lunch and learns. In his free time, he enjoys pumping and working iron.
Grant McClendon, DMD 2015, Licensure Chair
As Licensure Chair, Grant intends on providing
topics for discussion on the ASDA Facebook Page, as well as coordinating
lectures on licensure related topics, including speakers that can provide
insight into the similarities and differences between the WREB and NERB. His hobbies
include spending time outdoors, rugby, and hanging out with his wife and
daughter.
Ryan McGary, DMD 2014, Ethics Chair
Ryan plans to bring awareness and importance of the ethical dilemmas that face us in dentistry.
He loves wakeboarding, snowboarding, and spending time with his wife and 2 beautiful kids.
Marshall Hamblin, DMD 2015, Special Interest Group Coordinator
Marshall hopes to help anyone in the college who is trying to learn more about the different aspects of dentistry. He loves to hunt, fish, and play any sport whenever he can.
Omar Ashraf, DMD 2015, Fundraising Coordinator
Omar plans on working with Russel to continue
successful fundraising events such as the golf tournament and other events. He enjoys
watching and playing football and basketball, and hip hop music.
Lawrence Ebel, DMD 2014, Legislative Liaison
Lawrence plans to update the chapter on current and pressing issues within dentistry and to have a great ADPAC drive! His hobbies include doing Crossfit, and reading.
Ryan Reid, DMD 2015, Business Series Chair
Ryan plan to continue building the business series to be lasting and productive for our students through informative topics and engaging speakers. He likes to spend his time thinking about exercising, drinking peanut butter banana milkshakes, dreaming of a Seattle Seahawks Super Bowl victory, and spending time with his beautiful wife and daughter
Michelle Bruce, DMD 2015, Social Media Coordinator
Michelle will use her skills to connect current ASDA members at WesternU with other chapters and the dental community. Her hobbies include singing, Zumba, jogging, and trying new food.
Sophia Peng, DMD 2015, Newsletter Design Editor
Sophia will contribute in designing the format
of newsletters and assemble text and photographs in an easy-to-read arrangement
that will attract readers' eyes. Her hobbies and interests include traveling,
learning new languages, singing, listening to music, hiking and doing yoga.
Lin Jing, DMD 2016, Newsletter Content Editor
Lin plans to compile article topics which are relevant and interesting to read, as well as edit and contribute to the newsletter’s content. She enjoys spending time with family, jogging, and café-hopping.
